Yay! Test print is good :)  Happy now. I'll post a proper print later. Now can you see what it is supposed to say?

Where did my common sense go!?

I spent about a week or so cutting out this new lino print - sort of just making it up as I went along, from a vague idea I had in my head. I only realised my fatal error once I had inked up the print - TO MY HORROR - it was backwards. I don't know why I'm surprised, but I feel like a muppet now. I am shamefacedly going to make it again, probably with a few tweaks, one of which will be making sure it's a MIRROR IMAGE.

A Cloak of Birds

New artwork! Just a small snippet of it for now - as I've left the full image on a USB in someone elses computer! Oops. Planning another gocco print with this - and perhaps may add some colour. At the moment I finish work pretty early and I have lots of long evenings stretching ahead of me, so I'm trying to invest my time in creating some new artworks and planning to re-open my Etsy shop soon, so watch this space....

In other news I have a little Adana letter-press to play with, so looking forward to that.

I drew a little something for a friend who is getting married - think it's one for the gocco!!! Might actually faff around in photoshop with it too - it would look nice with some colour. On an unrelated note - I'd like to make this blog a bit more active and know that people are looking at it! So if you are and you have something to say - please say it!!!

 

Ack! I am SO sorry I ignored you blogspot. I would say never again but we all know that would be optimistic. Anyway, here is something I made for my Dad last year - it was one of the first books I bound, and it's all about pasta. It's quite basic, as it's just a fold out book, but I was pleased with it at the end.

Sorry - I'm being a bad blogger! Too much time has lapsed between posts >_<  I'll try and post more regularly soon....
